I have been aware of so many memes throughout the blogs I follow but this is the first time I have decided to take part in one, simply because it is easier to listen to yet another album/song/podcast/interview than to move on to the next book. Thanks to Bellezza, who initiated this great meme, here's what I am listening to this Wednesday (when I'm not listening to Absolute Radio, Candy Station, NRJ French, BBC or Venice Classic Radio ):
My affair with Tori Amos started back in '93 when tapes still existed and "Crucify" was the song that I kept rewinding. She still amazes me with her unique style and perfect voice.
Favorite track on the album: Nautical Twilight

She does have an amazing voice (not to mention face!). I have one of her music videos on my iPod, but I'll have to look up which one it is...such a memory I have. At any rate, thanks for playing along. How fun it will be to enrich my musical horizons through the ears of others, just as I have been enriched with their book choices.
Thanks for thinking about this :)
I am sure we'll discover plenty of amazing things to delight our ears with :)
I see you have a BBC Radio link in your sidebar. I so wish I could find a way to have the BBC radio come into my home! I used to listen to the Books at Bedtime podcast (is that the right word?) which I loved! Do you listen to them often?
I only listen to it when I am on holiday because it's a nice time to relax while doing ordinary things around the house. Here's a great series of BBC interviews that I really like, and they are short and to the point :)

There's also one with Winterson :)
Oh. My. God. I LOVE Tori!!!
I have just ordered her new album and can't wait to listen to it ... I read that it is inspired by various composers which should make for an interesting experience!
Now I wish my computer audio wasn't broken so I could listen to the "Nautical Twilight", damn it!!
U am glad you do, Birgit! The new album was a revelation for me, it is so beautiful and artsy :)
I have "THE PIANO COLLECTION" by Tori Amos, it has been years since I follow this very talented singer/writer.
You have a wonderful blog, I follow Bellezza and found you there :)
Thank you for dropping by, Madeleine! I see you were born in Paris, now that is incredible, because Paris is, alongside Venice, a mesmerizing city! :)
