Ah, you said so succinctly what I struggled to convey. Loved this book. It has to be one of my favorites for the RIP VI as well as my own JLC5...heck, one of my favorites for the year. It was so atmospheric, and I'm still thinking about the 'power of ghosts'. If there is such a thing.
I don't believe in ghosts, I am not into spooky novels, but this one was so different and I could empathize with the character. Thanks once again for re-introducing to me Japanese Lit!
