"The Great Gatsby" is one of my all time favorite books and F.S. Fitzgerald is among my favorite writers, so to see that Buz Luhrmann, whose "Moulin Rouge" I adore has directed a new adaptation for the screen, with Leonardo DiCaprio (as Jay Gatsby), whose acting skills are more and more amazing with every new movie.... it really feels like this movie is going to be
EPIC, even though it is quite hard to beat Redford's Gatsby. I can't wait till December!

I can't wait to see it, either! Somehow, deCaprio may be able to pull it off! He looks quite convincing in the photos I've seen advertising the film. I'm also looking forward to the release of Anna Karenina in November. I think I'll have to reread both books in time for the movies.
I am no fan of diCaprio but haven't seen him for years, so maybe I would like him better. Maybe I will go and see it when it comes out.
@Bellezza: Yes, I think he may be the only one who could be as good as Redford. I was thinking of doing some rereading from Fitzgerald, especially since I so miss reading him... BTW, Rikki mentioned his story, "Thank you for the light" Here's the link:

@Rikki: I used to totally dislike him, especially in Titanic (not my kind of guy) but 2 or 3 years ago I saw Revolutionary Road, starring him and Kate Winslet, and I totally changed my mind. He's so much better as an actor (and a man as well, loool)
I can't wait for this movie! I am also a huge fan of the book, have a total teenager crush on di Caprio and watched Moulin Rougue almost obsessively years ago. But, have you seen they changed the release date from Christmas 2012 to summer 2013? Not too happy I must say...
Thanks for visiting, Elena :)
I had no idea, but you are right, they moved the date for 2013... I hope the wait will be worth it :)
