Whoever thought erotic literature cannot sell was completely mistaken. The hype that surrounded this book (actually, trilogy) made me read it because I was way too curious about it. Surely, it is quite erotic, in the sense that a 49 year old woman is writing about her fantasies and this made me wonder if I will be dreaming about that when I am 49 as well... Totally undemanding literature, which can be perfect for a few summer nights, depending on your mood!
Dark desires can never be boring.
Read for the New Authors Challenge...
Ah, another one who is not totally disliking it (see Judith's review). I am getting more and more intrigued. I might get it at the library (if it will ever be available with a waiting list as long as my arm).
ReplyDeleteRikki, it all starts with being intrigued :)) You should go for it and if you don't like it, you can stop at any time...
ReplyDeleteGood to see that you liked this book too. I did like it, much more than I expected. It's not a fantastic book, but doesn't deserve all the negative attention it gets.
ReplyDeleteNow Judith, the question that is still present in my mind is whether I will want to read the other two parts... Will you?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I'll read the others too. I would if I didn't have a HUGE pile of books to read still, but as it is, it was just a nice book, but no more, so I may not.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to that, Judith :)
